Credits
Church interior photographs on the home page are from Wikimedia Commons, used under the licenses listed. Saint icons are mostly from Wikimedia Commons (public domain or free licenses). Additional icons are used with credit from the Orthodox Church in America (oca.org Lives of the Saints) and azbyka.ru; some saints show the group icon of their synaxis or feast. Each saint page links its icon source; a full icon source log is available.
Text sources
- Prayers and hymns: Isabel Florence Hapgood (tr.), Service Book of the Holy Orthodox-Catholic Apostolic (Greco-Russian) Church (Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1906), public domain. Scan on the Internet Archive. A few 1906 petitions for the Emperor or Sovereign are kept as printed, with a note.
- Morning prayers (two): Private Devotions as Enjoined by the Holy Eastern Church (London: Masters, 1851), public domain. Scan. Only prayers the translator did not alter are used; his texts that replaced invocations of the saints and the Theotokos are left out.
- Psalms and the Old Testament: Sir Lancelot C. L. Brenton, The Septuagint Version of the Old Testament (1844/1851), public domain, text from eBible.org.
- New Testament: King James Version (1769), public domain, eBible.org.
- The Akathist Hymn and Little Compline (London: Williams & Norgate, 1919): the Akathist to the Theotokos, its Canon and Little Compline, proofread against the page images of the archive.org scan.
- Not yet included: texts that need a licence (the full Morning and Evening Rule, the Canon before Communion, the Paraklesis).
